Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation (Standardization Administration of China) released the “Commercial Cleaning Robot” national standard (GB/T 46495—2025), which will take effect on May 1, 2026. The standard applies to cleaning robots used in commercial environments such as shopping malls, hotels, office buildings, schools, hospitals, factories, and clubs. By defining technical requirements for cleaning performance, mobility, and safety, it aims to guide product design and manufacturing toward greater standardization, enhance product quality, and improve user experience.
